As you probably
already know, “The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009” was
signed into law on February 17, 2009 and dedicates tax credit dollars to help homeowners improve the
energy efficiency of their home.
Best of all, you
can earn tax credits up to $1,500!

The ARRA
(The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009) provides for a
uniform credit of 30 percent of the cost of qualifying improvements up
to $1,500 on
existing
homes/principal residences. New construction and rentals
do not
qualify.
The
2009-2010 tax credit applies to product cost ONLY and not toward
installation costs.

• Skylights/Exterior - energy-efficient
• Doors/Exterior - energy-efficient
• Metal
roofs
• Asphalt
roofs
• Adding
Insulation
• Natural
gas, oil, and propane water heaters
• Pellet
stoves
Be sure to hold on
to your receipts and other documentation to provide to your tax advisor.
You may need to provide a manufacturer’s certification and/or
product/performance labels.
